where is the best place to stay at Disney World?

preferably on property. Kind of have it narrowed down to:
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort- Riverside
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
and how many days would you recommend staying?

Hi. PO Riverside, Coronado Springs, and Caribbean Beach are all the same in the respect of amenities. The rooms are of your general hotel room variety with mini refrigerators and coffee makers added for a little more convenience.

All of these resorts are set up like apartments. The lobby and shops are in a central locations and the rooms are in out buildings that usually surround the central location.

The only real difference is in the themes of the resorts. Riverside is more southern charm/LA bayou while CS has a Mexican influence, and Caribbean Beach is themed around different Caribbean islands.

You can find pictures and a little more information on these resorts at
Riverside

Coronado Springs

Caribbean Beach

I hope this answer will make your decision a little easier.

My family goes once a year and you really need a good week there. We did 7 days and 6 nights. It’s just long enough to wish you were staying but not long enough to start getting bored or ready to leave. Have fun!!

I’m curious why you don’t have Port Orleans – French Quarter on you short list. I think it is the best moderate resort. I like the Port Orleans resorts because they have the river boat to Downtown Disney. I like the French Quarter because it is the smallest of the four moderate resorts. This really reduces the walk time, especially if you have children. Also, it reduces the bus travel time. There is only one bus stop at French Quarter, Riverside has four stops, Coronado has four stops, and Caribbean has eight (largest Disney resort). We stayed for six nights at French Quarter last November. Only once did one of our buses go to Riverside, then French Quarter. All of those stops made the trip so long. The same is true for the boat ride. From Riverside, that trip is 10 minutes longer each way. Also, the French Quarter pool is great. From both of the Port Orleans resorts, you can take the 10 minute boat ride to the other resort to use the pools, amenities, etc. So, I would choose the French Quarter first, and Riverside second.

Here is a website that has photos and resort maps:
