What is a California city that borders the beach?

I’m writing a story and it’s a family from California that lived on the beach. City have have been around in 1910 – that’s when the story takes place! Thanks so much! First correct answer will be chosen as best!

Imperial Beach, CA is a coastal city with a long beachfront that was founded in 1887. It is the southernmost city in San Diego county and borders Mexico, its about twenty minutes to a half an hour’s drive from downtown San Diego. You could also use Coronado, CA. It’s also in San Diego county, it’s a semi-island in the San Diego bay that’s connected to the mainland by a narrow causeway. The city was founded sometime in the 1800’s and it has one of the most well known beaches in the world, along with the world famous Hotel Del Coronado. Best of luck in writing your story!
