what else to do in San Diego?

My gf and I will be in San Diego and wondering what else to do there. I think we have one more free day and not sure what to do with it. We have been to Disneyland and Seaworld before and spending the week prior to this in LA. Below I wrote out our plan of events, if something doesn’t sound right it is my poor planning so let me know what should change.

Here is what the plan is so far:

Day 1: Zoo

Day 2: kayak La jolla caves, rent bikes and ride to La Jolla Cove and also Mission Beach. (Mission Beach: 5 mile ride)

Day 3: Balboa park

Day 4: Tour Old Town, drive over to Coronado ferry and park (parking issue in this part of SD?). Take ferry to rent bikes on Coronado Beach (not sure where else to go on Coronado Island).

Day 5 ?

The Bay / Maritime Museums / Embarcadero / SeaPort Village

Torrey Pines State Beach and Reserve

Little Italy

Downtown / East Village / Gaslamp

Cabrillo National Monument / Point Loma Lighthouse

Balboa Park probably will not take a whole day it isnt that interesting at all

There is a tour called "old town tours" They take you around the whole city and it is great to do on the first day because then you can plan out the rest of your trip with areas where you want to go. You can get off at any stop and get back on again to spend time at a location. The Zoo is awesome. Walking around the Gas light district is fun at night, a lot of restaurants and bars. You could catch a Padres game. The best thing to do is google things to do in san diego and you will get a ton of results. Then pick what is best for you and DO IT

    have fun

You can visit The Hotel Del Coronado or go to San Diego Wildlife Park. Both places are excellent to visit.

Day 5 – Go to the San Diego Wild Animal Park or spend the day sunbathing at the beach.

To the person who said Balboa Park wasn’t much to look at, I beg to differ. I live in San Diego and it’s a beautiful place to go. There are several museums in the area including an art museum and an aerospace museum. There’s a restaraunt called The Prado but it’s a little pricey and the food stands don’t offer a whole lot in selection so it’s best to do a picnic thing in the park.

If the Padres are playing at Petco Park, try catching a baseball game.

Also check out a few of the various shopping malls and outlets. The Carlsbad outlet mall is pretty sweet and it’s next to a flower garden thingy that’s open to the public.
