Bridge traffic is moving again and lanes are open after a wreck caused a clog as rush hour began.
A Toyota and a GMC have crashed on the San Diego-Coronado Bridge leading to a backup and response from the California Highway Patrol and the Coronado Fire Department.
The crash was reported between the Arcadia and the 4Runner at almost 3:50 p.m. Tow trucks have been called in, according to the CHP’s online log.
The CHP had issued a warning: “Slow traffic until further notice.” The city reported at 5:30 p.m. that lanes were no longer blocked, but cars were moving at speeds as low as 20 mph approaching Interstate 5.
No serious injuries were reported.
