Another day of discoveries was in store. I started my explorations across the street from the Transit Centre at the Old Town San Diego State Historic Park. This area contains some original buildings and many replicas of San Diegos Mexican-era architecture and is the most visited state park in California. Five original adobe buildings are part of this historical complex, and other historic buildings illustrate life in early San Diego. The Plaza del Pasado and Old Town Plaza lead into a complex of adobe buildings that form a large interior courtyard. LAST MONTHS OF BRITISH RAILWAYS STEAM From May to August 1968 Dick Franklin and Bob Bridger made a number of visits to the North West of England. They wanted to capture with their cine cameras, the final months of standard gauge regular service steam on British Railways. A variety of classes were working, Black 5, 8F, 9F, 73xxx and 75xxx plus Britannia 70013 on rail tours. During this period of 1968 there were a flurry of rail tours.
