High Surf Advisory Issued for San Diego, Orange Counties

coronado home
The National Weather Service issued a high surf advisory for San Diego and Orange counties today which will begin Thursday at 4 p.m. and end Saturday at 2 a.m. Breakers along some shoreline may reach between eight to 12 feet. A west-northwest swell "will build to around seven feet by this afternoon and nine feet Friday." Here is how the advisory described the surf event's impact:  "Dangerous rip currents. Larger waves will run well up beaches and may wash into beach parking lots. Waves will occasionally be breaking against the bottom of ocean beach pier... and over sea walls and jetties from Imperial beach southward. The entrance to Mission Bay may be extremely hazardous... especially during the afternoon low tides." (more…)

coronado home
SDG&E customers throughout the county could ultimately be asked to pay for “excess costs” incurred by the utility as a result of the 2007 wildfires, if a proposal before state regulators is approved. The company’s poor equipment maintenance was found by the state to have caused the massive Witch Creek, Guejito and Rice Canyon fires, which together took the lives of two civilians, destroyed more than 1,300 homes, scorched more than 200,000 acres and injured at least 40 firefighters. Firefighting agencies spent $18 million extinguishing the Witch Creek fire alone. SDG&E settled with state regulators for $14.8 million and was ordered to pay at least $920 million to insurance companies who had paid out to property owners. Its insurance did not cover all of the cos

Then drink 3 to 8 ounces of fluid every 15 to 20 minutes during exercise. You should weigh yourself before and after your workout and you should drink 20 to 24 ounces of fluid per pound of weight loss. If you are casually working out in a climate controlled environment, you won’t lose as much bo
